Kansai adalah region name untuk Osaka + (himeji) Kobe + Nara + Kyoto + Wakayama (Mt. Koya).
Di Kansai ada banyak sangat Pass yang boleh digunakan. Bergantung kepada flexibility perjalanan korang, place of interest and number of day.
Sebab Kansai sangat compact and packed dengan historical and interesting places, jadi ramai budget traveler prefer to travel Kansai instead of normal Golden Route (Kansai + Tokyo).
Berikut adalah tempat yang terkenal
- Osaka : Osaka Castle, Namba Area, Osaka Bay Area, Universal Studio Japan
- Kyoto : Gion, Arashiyama, Higashiyama, *Nijo Castle, *Kyomizu Temple, *Kinkakuji
- Nara : Nara Deer, Naramachi, *Todaiji Temple
- Hyogo: *Himeji Castle, Kobe Port, Kobe Mosque, Earthquake Museum, Arima Hotspring
- Wakayama: *Mt. Koya
Kembali kepada passes di Kansai. Two main passes at Kansai is Kansai Area Pass (JR) dan Kansai Thru Pass (Non-JR). And one more is varian of Kansai Area Pass > Kansai Wide Area Pass.

Secara rambang, Kansai Thru Pass memang lebih berbaloi,
- Lebih meluas (Local Train dan Bus)
- Boleh digunakan in-consecutively (tidak berturut-turut)
- Boleh dapat diskaun untuk some attraction.
Tetapi untuk fast phase traveller, penggunaan JR Kansai Pass lebih bagus
- Kurang Transit
- Lebih Laju
- Penggunaan Rapid Service
- Pengunaan Bullet Train (only for Wide Area Pass)
- Pengunaan Special Express Haruka dari Kansai Airport >> Osaka >> Kyoto

- travelling in a slow phase
- utilize local train and local bus
- visiting Mt. Koya (Wakayama) > sebab JR Kansai Pass tak cover cable car ke Mt. Koya + Mt. Koya bus.
Bila Penggunaan Kansai Area Pass berbaloi?
- Airport transfer to Kyoto using Haruka (normal fare; JPY 3170)
- Airport transfer to Osaka / Shin Osaka using Haruka (normal fare; JPY 2810)
- fast phase traveller
- utilize Special Rapid Train
- stay nearby JR station
- Visit Himeji (if use Wide Area Pass)
Bila dua dua pun tak berbaloi
- Stay at different cities on each day (onw way train trip)
- usage redundant with other pass (Osaka Amazing pass, etc)
